Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra Region: Chicken Meat Prices Up, Red Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (October 14, 2025) at 1:55 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were mackerel, skipjack tuna, medium rice, packaged cooking oil, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, large red chili, SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour, and dried soybeans (imported) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat experienced the highest price increase of Rp538 (1.49%) to Rp36,569 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili saw the deepest decrease of Rp2,813 (5.7%) to Rp46,520 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,569 per kg (up 1.49%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp34,311 per kg (up 0.03%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,738 per kg (up 0.19%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,686 per kg (down 0.02%)
