Food Prices Wednesday (29/10) in Banten: Red Chili and Rice Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have risen compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (29/10/2025) at 1:20 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include red bird's eye chili, large red chili, medium rice, premium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, packaged cooking oil, dried soybeans (imported), Minyakita, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity saw the highest jump of Rp1,812 (3.44%) to Rp54,444 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna, meanwhile, fell the sharpest by Rp435 (1.23%) to Rp34,826 per kg.
