Food Prices Today (20/1) in Central Java: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (January 20, 2026) at 4:16 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 increased and 3 decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are red bird's eye chili, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, medium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk granulated sugar, large red chili, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest increase of Rp1,593 (4.2%) to Rp39,500 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the most sharply by Rp125 (0.41%) to Rp30,292 per kg.
