Today's Food Prices (05/3) in East Java: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Some food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 5, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are bulk granulated sugar, curly red chili, red bird's eye chili, premium rice, and beef hindquarter.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as large red chili, Honan garlic, chicken eggs, imported soybeans, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili price jumped the highest by Rp1,211 (1.42%) to Rp86,702 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili price dropped the most by Rp241 (0.87%) to Rp27,456 per kg.
