Today's Food Price Update in West Java: Sugar and Beef Prices Rise (Monday, April 8, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (8/4/2024) at 08.18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, shallots, broiler chicken, premium rice, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, milkfish, dry soybeans (import), fine iodized salt, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice saw the highest price increase of Rp440 (3.19%) to Rp14,250 per kg. Fine iodized salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp1,520 (14.5%) to Rp8,960 per kg.

7. Garlic Bulb: Rp39,020 per kg (down 3.73%)
8. Milkfish: Rp37,800 per kg (down 0.63%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,800 per kg (down 1.62%)
