Food Prices in West Sumatra Thursday (30/10): Cayenne Pepper Prices Up, Red Chili Down

Food prices in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (30/10/2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 14 commodities saw an increase and 10 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include Minyakita, red cayenne pepper, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken meat, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as premium rice, milkfish, medium rice, shallots, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper commodity soared the highest by Rp3,308 (7.28%) to Rp48,750 per kg. The price of large red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp61,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
