Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (19/4/2024) at 14.25 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are: curly red chilies, shallots, iodized fine salt, red chili peppers, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp1,150 (3.74%) to Rp31,930 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the lowest decrease of Rp800 (2.43%) to Rp32,110 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas as of April 19, 2024, at 14.25 WIB.

7. Red Chili Peppers: Rp31,930 per kg (up 3.74%)

9. Curly Red Chilies: Rp31,490 per kg (up 1.81%)
