Cooking Oil Prices in West Papua Are the Highest in Indonesia (Tuesday, February 8, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of cooking oil (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces at Rp 17,150 per kg, data as of Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 18,850 per kg.

The daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in West Papua was the most expensive in Indonesia at Rp 24,100 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of cooking oil in this province is lower. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 24,250 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Bangka Belitung Islands, cooking oil was sold at Rp 21,950 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of cooking oil in North Kalimantan was Rp 20,550 per kg, Bali Rp 18,350 per kg, and Aceh Rp 18,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are eight provinces with cooking oil sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest cooking oil prices are Jambi, Gorontalo, and Central Sulawesi.
