Today's Food Prices January 07 in Central Java: Egg and Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (January 7, 2026) at 1:54 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were medium rice and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, large red chili, broiler chicken meat, broiler chicken eggs, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp93 (0.27%) to Rp34,074 per kg. Red bird's eye chili price experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp926 (2.15%) to Rp42,222 per kg.

6. Large Red Chili: Rp33,292 per kg (down 1.11%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,278 per kg (stable)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,296 per kg (down 0.13%)
