Food Prices in West Java, Thursday (Oct 16): Onion Prices Rise, Buffalo Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (Oct 16, 2025) at 08:44 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 18 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include shallots, garlic (unpeeled), consumption salt, skipjack tuna, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as milkfish, broiler eggs, premium rice, mackerel, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna commodity saw the highest increase of Rp2,351 (6.41%) to Rp39,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) dropped most sharply by Rp105,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
