West Java Food Prices (July 28th): Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (28/7/2024) at 08.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of IDR 1,090 (1.53%) to IDR 72,230 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish experienced the largest price drop of IDR 4,930 (13.35%) to IDR 31,990 per kg.

5. Mackerel: IDR 36,520 per kg (down 7.1%)
6. Chicken Meat: IDR 35,310 per kg (down 3.18%)
7. Milkfish: IDR 31,990 per kg (down 13.35%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: IDR 31,530 per kg (down 12.22%)
9. Chicken Eggs: IDR 27,700 per kg (down 1.07%)
10. Red Onions: IDR 24,950 per kg (down 8.17%)
