Food Price Update in Yogyakarta Today: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Sunday, April 14, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (14/4/2024) at 11:12 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, red chili peppers, chicken eggs, curly red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,740 (4.7%) to Rp38,790 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp6,080 (14.13%) to Rp36,960 per kg.
