Latest Food Prices in West Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Friday, March 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (22/3/2024) at 11:18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, chicken eggs, milkfish, farmer-level corn, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp390 (3.76%) to Rp10,770 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease, down by Rp3,120 (6.02%) to Rp48,710 per kg.
