Today's Food Prices in West Java: Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (16/8/2024) at 13.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), broiler chicken meat, skipjack tuna, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, pure beef, chicken eggs, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) prices surged the highest by Rp80 (0.73%) to Rp11,090 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices fell the most sharply by Rp2,390 (3.68%) to Rp62,530 per kg.
