Today's Food Prices (Dec 9) in East Java: Beef and Chili Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (Dec 9, 2025) at 4:48 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include Honan garlic, bulk granulated sugar, red bird's eye chili, beef hindquarter, and farm chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The curly red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp3,238 (5.6%) to Rp61,095 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp273 (0.59%) to Rp45,909 per kg.

5. Large Red Chili: Rp45,909 per kg (down 0.59%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,500 per kg (up 0.95%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp30,100 per kg (up 1.01%)
8. Farm Chicken Eggs: Rp28,955 per kg (up 0.63%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,235 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,145 per liter (unchanged)
11. Minyakita: Rp16,536 per liter (unchanged)
12. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,208 per kg (up 0.1%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp14,766 per kg (down 0.06%)
14. Medium Rice: Rp13,011 per kg (unchanged)
15. Imported Soybeans: Rp12,850 per kg (unchanged)
