Latest West Java Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Egg Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (20/8/2024) at 13.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 5 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, garlic bulbs, premium rice, broiler chicken, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, milkfish, granulated sugar, chicken eggs, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of farmer-level corn saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp70 (1.37%) to Rp5,170 per kg. The price of milkfish saw the largest decrease, dropping by Rp530 (1.41%) to Rp37,130 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in West Java according to Bapanas on August 20, 2024, at 13.25 WIB.
