Food Prices Today (27/1) in Central Java: Sugar and Chicken Meat Prices Rise

The prices of several food items in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (27/1/2026) at 3:13 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 increased and 1 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include bulk granulated sugar, red bird's eye chili, red curly chili, shallots, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, only premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Red bird's eye chili experienced the highest increase of Rp1,000 (2.13%) to Rp48,037 per kg. Premium rice, on the other hand, saw the deepest decrease of Rp74 (0.49%) to Rp15,086 per kg.

6. Large Red Chili: Rp29,854 per kg (up 1.2%)
7. Red Curly Chili: Rp27,611 per kg (up 1.71%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,380 per kg (up 0.1%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,093 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,741 per liter (stable)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,863 per kg (up 0.11%)
12. Minyakita Cooking Oil: Rp16,400 per liter (stable)
