Food Prices in West Java Tuesday (21/10): Red Cayenne Pepper Up, Buffalo Meat Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (21/10/2025) at 08:44 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 20 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are dried soybean seeds (imported), shallots, red cayenne pepper, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, SPHP rice, large red chili, curly red chili, and consumption sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper commodity surged the highest by Rp2,626 (6.84%) to Rp41,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) dropped most sharply by Rp105,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
