Food Prices in Central Java Today: Red Chili Prices Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) at 11:18 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include SPHP rice, corn at farmer level, large red chili, frozen buffalo meat (imported), and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, garlic cloves, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp652 (2.0%) to Rp33,283 per kg. Red onion prices dropped the deepest by Rp2,352 (5.08%) to Rp43,972 per kg.
