West Java Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Sunday, April 7, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (7/4/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, iodized fine salt, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp6,240 (14.02%) to Rp50,750 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp320 (5.24%) to Rp5,790 per kg.
