West Java Food Prices Thursday (30/5): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

Food prices in West Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (30/5/2024) at 14:55 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are cooking oil (curah), red chilies (keriting), granulated sugar, and red chili peppers (rawit).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, broiler chicken meat, packaged wheat flour (non-curah), chicken eggs, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies (keriting) saw the highest price increase of Rp1,120 (2.55%) to Rp44,970 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp200 (3.71%) to Rp5,190 per kg.
