Food Prices Today in Central Java Region: Chicken Meat, Cayenne Pepper, and Red Chili Prices Increase

Prices of several food items in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (September 19, 2025) at 2:29 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include corn at the farmer level, premium rice, mackerel, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as whole garlic, SPHP rice, packaged cooking oil, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp1,811 (4.46%) to Rp42,373 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of whole garlic dropped the deepest by Rp501 (1.53%) to Rp32,342 per kg.

8. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp35,180 per kg (up 1.75%)
