Current Food Prices in Jambi: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (15/12/2024) at 14.29 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, shallots, whole cloves of garlic, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, curly red chilies, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, up by Rp460 (1.55%) to Rp30,140 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop, down by Rp400 (1.43%) to Rp27,490 per kg.
