Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Rice, Beef, and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (16/12/2024) at 09.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, milkfish, granulated sugar, broiler chicken, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, skipjack tuna, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,560 (14.27%) to Rp12,490 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp2,980 (9.8%) to Rp27,420 per kg.
