Food Prices Today, December 19, in Indonesia: Chili, Oil, and Red Chili Prices Drop

Prices of several food items in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (19/12/2025) at 2:19 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are broiler chicken eggs and beef hindquarter.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, curly red chili, bulk palm cooking oil, shallots, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken eggs saw the highest increase of Rp100 (0.3%) to Rp33,900 per kg. Red cayenne pepper prices fell the sharpest by Rp1,300 (1.78%) to Rp71,600 per kg.
