Today's Food Prices in Indonesia March 12: Red Chili Up, Onion Down

Several food commodity prices in Indonesia today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 12 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases include curly red chili, medium rice, bulk palm cooking oil, shallots, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities like Minyakita, broiler chicken eggs, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp1,159 (2.93%) to Rp40,723 per kg. As for Honan garlic prices, they fell the deepest by Rp66 (0.18%) to Rp36,227 per kg.

4. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp40,332 per kg (up 0.31%)
5. Shallots: Rp39,896 per kg (up 0.08%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp38,884 per kg (up 1.75%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,227 per kg (down 0.18%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,847 per kg (down 0.06%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,175 per liter (up 0.1%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,548 per liter (up 0.45%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,923 per kg (up 0.08%)
