Today's Food Prices April 22 in Central Java: Red Chili Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) at 4:56 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 increased and 7 decreased.

Commodities with price increases are bulk granulated sugar, bulk palm cooking oil, premium rice, large red chili, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as broiler chicken meat, shallots, chicken eggs, Honan garlic, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp166 (0.45%) to Rp37,376 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp617 (1.13%) to Rp54,007 per kg.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp54,007 per kg (down 1.13%)
3. Large Red Chili: Rp38,443 per kg (up 0.15%)
4. Shallots: Rp37,686 per kg (down 0.02%)
5. Curly Red Chili: Rp37,376 per kg (up 0.45%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,114 per kg (down 0.15%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp31,644 per kg (down 0.79%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,174 per kg (down 0.29%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,680 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,027 per liter (up 0.11%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,522 per kg (up 0.07%)
