Today's Food Prices (22/4) in East Java: Red Chili Rises, Bird's Eye Chili Falls

Some food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) at 18:01 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases include premium packaged palm cooking oil, shallots, Honan garlic, bulk palm cooking oil, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as broiler chicken eggs, bulk granulated sugar, broiler chicken meat, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp451 (1.28%) to Rp35,776 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili price fell the sharpest by Rp390 (0.76%) to Rp50,772 per kg.
