Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (11/8/2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 18 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include skipjack tuna, milkfish, shallots, pure beef, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, mackerel, SPHP rice, red bird's eye chili, and garlic bulbs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt commodities saw the highest increase of Rp309 (3.36%) to Rp9,514 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices dropped the most by Rp61 (0.28%) to Rp22,022 per kg.
