Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Salt and Rice Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (9/9/2025) at 12:11 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 increased and 14 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include pure beef, skipjack tuna, red bird''s eye chili, broiler chicken meat, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as milkfish, large red chili, curly red chili, medium rice, and consumption sugar decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest surge, Rp1,382 (3.89%) to Rp36,906 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili price fell most sharply, Rp10,857 (15.97%) to Rp57,143 per kg.
