West Java Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise and Fall (Tuesday, January 2, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (2/1/2024) at 10:14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, chicken eggs, premium rice, shallots, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp3,790 (9.38%) to Rp44,200 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the least by Rp4,530 (5.62%) to Rp76,010 per kg.
