Latest Food Prices in Indonesia: Chicken Meat Price Rises, Red Chili Price Drops

The prices of several food ingredients in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (September 24, 2025) at 09:15 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 21 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were skipjack tuna, broiler chicken meat, mackerel, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), red cayenne pepper, Minyakita cooking oil, and dried soybean seeds (imported) decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Skipjack tuna increased the most by Rp629 (1.81%) to Rp35,400 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili decreased the sharpest by Rp3,400 (6.67%) to Rp47,596 per kg.
