Today's Food Prices (Jan 8) in Jambi: Onion and Red Chili Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Jambi today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (Jan 8, 2026) at 17.35 WIB, out of 15 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 4 commodities decreased.

The only commodity with an increased price was red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red onions, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The red bird's eye chili commodity surged the highest by Rp834 (1.56%) to Rp54,167 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp3,500 (10.5%) to Rp29,833 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chili: Rp32,000 per kg (decreased 7.69%)
7. Large Red Chili: Rp29,833 per kg (decreased 10.5%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,000 per kg (unchanged)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,833 per liter (unchanged)
