West Java Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall (Friday, February 23, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (23/2/2024) at 12:11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, chicken eggs, simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, medium rice, mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp3,410 (4.74%) to Rp75,400 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn decreased the most by Rp170 (2.41%) to Rp6,890 per kg.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,800 per kg (down 1.1%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp35,590 per kg (up 0.03%)
9. Shallot: Rp30,450 per kg (up 1.2%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,660 per kg (up 2.06%)
