Prevalence of Undernourishment in West Lombok Decreased by 0.56% in the Last Year

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, reached 2.79% in 2025.

This figure decreased by 0.56% from the previous year's 3.35%, while over the last 5 years, it increased by 0.39%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 7.89% in 2025. This means that the PoU in West Lombok Regency is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity.

This means that less than 2.79% of the total population in West Lombok Regency consumes food but has insufficient energy intake.
