Klaten Residents' Food Consumption Insufficiency Rate Decreases by 10.11% in 2024

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of food insufficiency (Prevalence of Undernourishment/PoU) in Klaten Regency, Central Java, was 10.11% in 2024.

This figure decreased by 4.35% from the previous year's 14.46%, while in the last 5 years, it decreased by 3.13%.

Indonesia's average PoU was 8.27% in 2024. This means that the PoU in Klaten Regency is higher than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.
