The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in West Sumatra with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 1,375.11 doses as of Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average weekly vaccinations exceeding 2,000 doses are Padang Pariaman (3,165 doses), Lima Puluh Kota (2,025 doses), and Pesisir Selatan (1,766 doses).
Padang Pariaman recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in West Sumatra at 3,165 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 279,180 doses have been used. National dashboard data shows that the region has achieved 62.54% full vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 40 days. This calculation is based on the remaining stock of 129,680 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in West Sumatra.
Lima Puluh Kota follows in second place. This district has achieved 79.23% full vaccination coverage. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination rate reached 2,025 doses. The current vaccine stock is 29,498 doses, estimated to last 14 days.
Next is Pesisir Selatan with a weekly average vaccination of 1,766 doses and 61.53% full vaccination coverage. Pasaman has a weekly average vaccination of 1,520 doses and 76.46% full vaccination coverage, while Tanah Datar has a weekly average vaccination of 1,250 doses and 66.03% full vaccination coverage.
Outside Java, some areas with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun (7,506 doses), Rokan Hulu (6,305 doses), and Lampung Tengah (6,083 doses).
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
