Food Prices Today, January 8, in Banten: Chili and Onion Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (8/1/2026) at 16:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are Minyakita and red onion.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, red bird's eye chili, Honan garlic, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Minyakita surged the highest by Rp33 (0.2%) to Rp16,933 per liter. The price of large red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp867 (2.06%) to Rp41,200 per kg.
