Food Consumption Insufficiency Rate of East Flores Residents Decreases by 12.58% in 2025

Referring to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, was 12.58% in 2025.

This figure decreased by 0.87% from the previous year's 13.45%, while over the last 5 years, it decreased by 3.25%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 7.89% in 2025. This means that the PoU in East Flores Regency was higher than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity conditions.
