North Hulu Sungai Residents' Food Consumption Deficiency Rate Drops to 5.06% in 2025

Quoting data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in North Hulu Sungai Regency, South Kalimantan reached 5.06% in 2025.

This figure decreased by 0.12% from the previous year's 5.18%, while over the last 5 years it has increased by 1.19%.

Indonesia's average PoU in 2025 was 7.89%. This means that the PoU in North Hulu Sungai Regency is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to observe food and nutrition security conditions.

This means that the percentage of North Hulu Sungai Regency residents who consume food but do not meet their energy needs is less than 5.06% of the total population.
