The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) currently occurs in Sabu Raijua, with 17.6 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Wednesday, October 6, 2021. This figure is two cases higher than the second-highest region.
In the last week, the COVID-19 transmission situation in Sabu Raijua has not shown improvement. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is still higher than the previous week's figure of 13.69 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Next in second place is Central Sumba. This region recorded 14.74 weekly confirmed cases per 100,000 population. Compared to last week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning no improvement is evident.
Rounding out the top five, besides the two regions mentioned above, are Kupang City, North Central Timor, and Lembata. Each recorded weekly confirmed cases of 13.75, 11.22, and 10.77, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Rote Ndao, Malaka, Alor, and West Manggarai. These regions recorded an average increase of more than five cases per 100,000 population.
Other information from today's daily COVID-19 data statistics is that 113 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to last week, and 357 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly confirmed cases than the previous week.
