As of Saturday, April 2, 2022, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Papua Province has reached 32.66 percent. This equates to 843,930 vaccine recipients out of a target of 2.58 million people. The second dose vaccination coverage has reached 24.14 percent of the target.
Based on target groups, the vaccination details to combat the COVID-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 19,530 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully administered to 19,530 people (100.06 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 94.41 percent or 18,440 people were vaccinated.
For public officials, the target was 289,920 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 155,160 people (53.52 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 45.98 percent, or 133,310 people.
For the elderly, the target was 177,360 people. For the first dose, 26,650 people were vaccinated (15.02 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 11.28 percent or 20,000 people were vaccinated.
For the vulnerable general public, the target was 1.69 million people. For the first dose, 489,810 people were vaccinated (29.82 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 21.26 percent or 345,570 people were vaccinated.
For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 407,850 people. For the first dose, 99,680 people were vaccinated (24.44 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 17.7 percent or 72,200 people were vaccinated.
