As of Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 60.17 percent of the target population in Riau province has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 2.91 million people out of a target of 4.84 million. The second dose has reached 36.7 percent of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 32,920 individuals. For the first dose, 32,920 people were vaccinated (138.36 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 131.21 percent of the target was achieved (43,200 people).

For public sector workers, the target was 349,420 individuals. The first dose reached 527,440 people (150.95 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 134.22 percent of the target (468,970 people).

For the elderly, the target was 322,470 individuals. The first dose was administered to 126,810 people (39.32 percent of the target). The second dose reached 23.56 percent of the target (75,990 people).

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 3.45 million individuals. The first dose was administered to 1.68 million people (50.43 percent of the target). The second dose reached 26.66 percent of the target (862,160 people).
