Several districts/cities in Central Java province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Batang Regency, Brebes Regency, and Tegal Regency.
As of yesterday's data, in the vaccination program, these three regencies have only completed 1.55 million second doses out of the expected target of 3.39 million vaccine recipients.
Batang Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region only reached 42.8 percent, the lowest among the other 35 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 73.4 percent, or 725,300 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 622,260 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Batang was 3,834 participants. The current vaccine stock is 135,330 doses.
Next is Brebes Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 1.54 million vaccine recipients, only 46.5 percent, or 714,620 recipients, have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination has reached 70.6 percent, or 1.81 million vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Brebes was 7,115 participants. The current vaccine stock is 110,920 doses.
Tegal Regency is ranked third. With a target of 1.23 million vaccine recipients, only 46.5 percent, or 570,640 recipients, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Tegal was 6,349 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 99,052 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in Central Java has reached 86.3 percent, or 24.79 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 64.21 percent, covering 18.45 million vaccine recipients.
