The highest increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in Central Java currently occurred in Klaten, with 30.2 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Friday, April 8, 2022. This figure is more than three times higher than the case count in the second-highest region.
The high number of Covid-19 infections in Klaten compared to the previous week is due to a reported absence of cases per 100,000 population per week in the preceding period.
Surakarta is in second place, recording a weekly confirmation rate of nine cases per 100,000 population. This week's confirmed Covid-19 cases are higher than the previous week, which reported no cases.
Rounding out the top five, besides the two regions above, are Semarang, Karanganyar, and Sukoharjo, each recording six, six, and six weekly confirmed cases respectively.
