Not All Jakarta Disability Social Assistance Complies with Regulations

An Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) survey reveals that only 52% of disabled people in Jakarta reported receiving social assistance (bansos) in accordance with regulations. 25% reported receiving assistance not in accordance with regulations, while 23% of respondents stated they did not know.

20% of disabled people in Jakarta stated that the bansos was not in accordance with regulations because the amount was reduced. 10% of respondents stated that the quality of the food staple bansos was substandard.

3% of disabled people in Jakarta stated that the bansos was not in accordance with regulations because it should have been in cash, not food staples. 5% of respondents stated that the bansos was not in accordance with regulations due to other factors.

The ICW survey was conducted among 120 disabled people in Jakarta who receive bansos. The survey was carried out from October 14-20, 2020.
