Occupancy Rate of Star-Rated Hotels Increased to 47.83% in November 2021

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) notes that Indonesian people's mobility is increasing. This is reflected in the Hotel Occupancy Rate (HOR) for star-rated hotels in Indonesia, which increased by 2.21 points from 45.62% in October 2021 to 47.83% in November 2021.

The highest HOR was found in West Papua at 67.16%. Furthermore, hotel occupancy rates also increased in Yogyakarta Special Region to 64.66% and North Kalimantan to 63.57%.

Meanwhile, the lowest HOR was found in Bali at 20.67%. Despite being the lowest, Bali's HOR has significantly increased compared to November 2020, which was only 9.32%.

The largest increase in HOR compared to October 2021 occurred in North Kalimantan, increasing by 12.65 points. Then, North Sulawesi increased by 10.34 points and West Papua increased by 10.26 points. The lowest increase was found in West Java at 0.11 points.

On the other hand, five provinces experienced a decrease in HOR. The highest decrease in HOR was in Jambi at 2.79 points, while the lowest decrease was recorded in Maluku at 0.94 points.
