Price of Medium-Sized Red Onions in Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp60,500. This price is down Rp1,400 compared to the previous day.

Over the past month, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets has increased from Rp54,800.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has increased by 1.17% from the previous record of Rp59,800.

The highest price increase for medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in August 2023 with an increase of 58.48%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in August 2023 with a decrease of -37.4%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show two commodities decreased and 29 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are daily chili peppers in traditional markets by province and daily green chili peppers in traditional markets by province.
