The number of people in Papua who have received their first dose of the vaccine is 742,050.

As of Monday, January 3, 2022, Papua Province has achieved a 28.72 percent vaccination rate for the first dose. This equates to 742,050 individuals vaccinated out of a target of 2.58 million. The second dose vaccination rate reached 20.8 percent of the target as of the previous day.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 19,530 individuals. For the first dose, 19,530 people were vaccinated (101.05 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 94.75 percent or 6,882 individuals were vaccinated.

For public sector workers, the target was 289,920 individuals. The first dose vaccination reached 173,340 individuals (59.79 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 50.89 percent, or 147,540 individuals.

For the elderly, the target was 177,360 individuals. The first dose was administered to 24,110 individuals (13.6 percent of the target). The second dose reached 9.76 percent, or 17,310 individuals.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 1.69 million individuals. For the first dose, 419,010 individuals were vaccinated (25.72 percent of the target). The second dose reached 17.19 percent, or 275,520 individuals.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 407,850 individuals. The first dose was administered to 89,700 individuals (21.99 percent of the target). The second dose reached 15.58 percent, or 63,560 individuals.
