Indonesia's Daily Covid-19 Cases: 16th Highest in Asia

As of Sunday, January 23, 2022, Indonesia reported 3,205 new daily Covid-19 cases. With this number, Worldometer ranked Indonesia 16th in Asia for daily Covid-19 cases. This ranking has remained unchanged for the past week.

Globally, Asia accounted for 18.14 percent of the total daily Covid-19 cases worldwide.

Meanwhile, Japan had the highest number of daily Covid-19 cases in Asia, recording 49,531 new cases. The Philippines was second with 30,552 new daily cases.

Vietnam ranked third with 15,707 new daily cases.

Following were Kazakhstan with 15,169 new daily cases, Georgia with 11,039 new daily cases, and Bangladesh with 9,614 new daily cases.

In Southeast Asia, Indonesia ranked fourth. The highest number of cases was in the Philippines (30,552 cases, first place), followed by Vietnam (15,707 cases, second place), Thailand (8,112 cases, third place), and Laos (612 cases, fifth place).
